St Peter's Reading Committee
Our Committee
Our St Peter's Reading Committee is made up of pupils from years 3 to 6. Our reading committee has now been running for 4 academic years. We now have 10 Reading Committee members and counting.
Currently the reading committee have been responsible for:
1. Bidding for £1000 to help renovate our KS2 library from our parent/teacher assositation in school in 2018
2. Re-naming our school library in 2019
3. Renewing and recycing old books in 2019-2020 and 2022
4. Recruiting new members to the reading-committee
5. Refreshing the reading corridoor and deciding on themes in 2022
6. Re-designing the new KS2 library in 2020 and 2022
7. Organising a tour around school for our parent/teacher association to showcase what reading looks like at St Peter'
8. Reading to pupils in lower year groups
9. Recieving training as school librarians and then training other pupils to use the library book system.
10. Being part of the Tameside Libray Committee conference
11. Monitor the Passport to Reading each week and award pupils
12. Promote our author of the week.
