St. Peter's C.E. Primary School, Ashton

Here at St Peter's Church of England Primary School, our Ethos Council have a very important job. The Ethos Council are led by Mrs Stirrup and are elected members who work hard to ensure that our Mustard Seed Ethos and Christian Values underpin everything that we do. They raise funds for charities locally and globally. Also, every break time and lunch time, they display the Christian Values of 'Friendship' and 'Compassion' towards children in the playground who may be feeling lonely or finding it difficult to join in with their friends.  Each week, they also run activities at lunchtime linked to our weekly mission.   

Jesus said to Peter, "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church..." Matthew 16:18. We believe, that through teaching all of the Christian Values, these children are 'small rocks' which will support Jesus' teachings - they are St Peter's Ethos Council, the St.Peter's Pebbles.
