Welcome to our Earth Steward page!
At St Peter's Church of England Primary School, we have a selected group of children that are passionate about protecting their planet. The Earth Stewards are led by Miss Penrose and Mrs Walker and together they ensure that every single thing we do encompasses our Mustard Seed Vision and that our Christian Values are the at the heart of our projects. Every lunch time, they litter pick around the school grounds whilst encouraging other children to join in.
They are currently preparing an assembly for 'Cut your Carbon' week whereby they will be aiming to educate on the cost of living crisis and providing simple but effective ways that we, as a school, can be more carbon conscious.
Other important projects being worked on at the moment are:
- developing a fruit and vegetable patch where we hope to be able to give back to our local community by offering free produce as it grows.
- grown spring bulbs around school to enhance our habitats. We are also looking for a patch of school to leave 'wild' to encourage animals to live here.
Please head to Twitter to see all the lovely little things Earth Stewards are doing to really make a positive impact to their future!
