World Book Day 2019

World Book Day this year has been jam-packed full of fantastic activities...

We have thoroughly enjoyed dressing up as our favourite book characters and authors; decorating classrooms; taking part in a catwalk and being awarded customised WBD mugs and certificates; meeting David Webb our invited author alongside enjoying paired reading to name a few things. Take a look at our itinery for the day alongside our Tweets and images.

World Book Day 2020

This has been brilliant World Book Day - the best yet! We have themed our World Book Day around exploring Courageous Advocates and the power of illiteration.

We have also invited the Mayor of Tameside into school to present this year's costume awards alongside our resident artist to demonstrate the power of illustration. We have used our illustrative focus to get childlren to think about who they aspire to be or what they aspire to be. Take a look at the brilliant work and fantastic fun we had. We cannot wait for next year!

World Book Day 2022

What a fabulous day we had today.

In good old St Peter's style we enjoyed our reading catwalk - parading as our most influencial books characters. We had all characters from Paddington Bear to Jane Goodall.

We even enjoyed our first reading breakfast and shared our stories with our friends whilst eating sausage sandwiches. Take a look at our pictures.

We thoroughly enjoyed our activities today. We had the opportunity to read with other year groups and listen to the stories we each liked to tell one another. We also enjoyed time listening to our teacher read our new class tests whilst enjoying hot chocolates with whipped cream.

The day did not stop there. We loved our assemby with Bishop Mark. He read us his favourite stories as a child and as an adult and he also judged our catwalk. We were very happy to have him with us.

Please enjoy our twitter feed below where you can see the amazing things we go up to that day.
